Group Education

Our outdoor ClassROAM field trips offer an up-close and engaging experience with our wildlife and gardens. Reservation of a field trip includes:

  • Entrance to the Gardens
  • Participation in the Flamingo Show
  • Animal Presentation or Keeper Talk
  • Guided Tour

The program is offered Monday through Friday from 10AM – 3PM. Three days notice is required for bookings, and a maximum of 30 students and 3 adults are permitted per booking.

Summer Camp Week 1

Birds of a Feather

June 20th – 24th

Soar into the world of birds with us as we learn about the different ways birds have adapted to their environments. Join us on our adventures to find out what makes a flamingo pink! Who is the fastest bird in the world? Why do birds have different beaks? Learn how each adaptation helps different species of birds survive in their habitats.

Summer Camp Week 2

Planeteers

July 4th – 8th

Become a planeteer and learn about the importance of conservation and what you can do to help preserve our beautiful planet! Take part in experiments that will show you how oil spills affect our beautiful oceans and the effects littering has on our island. Bring out your inner artist and turn trash into treasures and learn creative ways to reduce, reuse and recycle!

Summer Camp Week 3

Predators VS Prey

July 18th – 22nd

Ever wondered how an owl can spot a mouse in the middle of night? Or how a rabbit can hear a fox before seeing it? Come with us as we dive deep into the world of predators and prey and learn what makes a predator and what makes each special. Find out through interactive games if you have what it takes to be a predator hunting for its food or a prey animal hiding from its predators.

Summer Camp Week 4

Native Explorers

July 25th – 29th

In this exciting camp, explorers will learn about the mischievous adventures of various Bahamian mythical creatures from Bahamian Folklore. Travel back in time to the pirate era and live like pirates hunting down the treasures of the sea! Learn about the rich Bahamian culture and the diverse plants and wildlife that can only be found in The Bahamas!

The program is offered Mondays and Wednesdays from 10AM – 12PM. Three days notice is required for bookings, and a maximum of 30 students (3 teachers) are permitted per booking.

Animal Crew to You Program

Looking for a unique way to bring your classroom lessons to life? We offer a special program called Animal Crew to You, where you can invite some of our animals to come and visit! For one hour time slots, our team members can provide an in-person animal experience in an educational setting and facilitate a brief discussion about each animal. The animals that would love to visit include:

  • Macaws (birds)
  • Rabbits
  • Bahamian Boa (snake)
  • Box turtles
  • Guinea Pigs
  • Yellow-Footed Tortoise
